YAMUNANAGAR: The groups of Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation (MC) in a driveway to examine the breach of Covid-19 criteria, issued challans into 26 shopkeepers and lodged a police complaint against each of them Wednesday.
After the spread of Covid-19 and optimistic cases coming to light on a normal period, the MC teams chose to inspect the market areas.
A Yamunanagar MC officer stated,”Throughout a surprise review, 26 shopkeepers, who were not wearing masks and have been found dividing the Covid-19 standards were issued challans. Three shopkeepers faced the MC officials, and a case has been filed under Section 188 (disobedience) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) from town police station”
Based on the directions of Yamunanagar MC commissioner Dharamvir Singh, the groups have been formed under the direction of regional taxation officer (RTO) Ajay Walia.
