CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress president Sunil Jakhar on Thursday alleged that the authenticity of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) was at its lowest ebb on topics regarding the farmers in aftermath of the opposition party’s stand in support of Centre’s plantation ordinances.
Jakhar stated where individuals in the country see SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal more as a freelancer than a farmer-friendly politician, the former celebration’s patron and former CM Parkash Singh Badal has gone contrary to the rack for national structure he championed throughout his lifetime.
“Badal older is not able to see the writing on the wall. Every farmer understands that the ordinances will reduce them to mere labourers. However he’s turned a blind eye on the fact simply to make certain the family’s only cabinet berth in the Centre continues,” he explained.
“Parkash Badal battled for more forces to the state during his lifetime but now he’s carrying a contrary stand by encouraging the ordinances. I just need to inquire if it had been inside the domain of this Centre to have a decision regarding Punjab’s agriculture throughout the ordinances. Is he prepared to forego his lifelong heritage to fortify the national arrangement? Rather than getting to the nitty gritty of the ordinances, he must answer this basic question,” he explained.
He explained the Punjab meeting has passed a resolution to deny the plantation ordinances a week. Before, Jakhar and Sukhbir had shot on every other on the problem at the all-party meeting convened by chief minister Amarinder Singh.
