CHANDIGARH: 2 days following state Congress chief Sunil Jakhar hunted strict action against party MPs Partap Singh Bajwa and Shamsher Singh Dullo, the’whole’ Punjab cabinet on Thursday also pitched for the duo’s instant expulsion due to their’anti-party and anti-government’ actions, which they termed as gross indiscipline, said a joint statement.
The activities of both Rajya Sabha MPs’call for prompt and rigorous action’ against these from the party high command, ” said that the cabinet ministers, seeking the dismissal of both Bajwa and Dullo for exposing his very own Congress government in the country within the hooch tragedy.
The ministers, at the announcement, called for the whip to be instantly cracked on the 2 MPs, with no laxity or delay. Indiscipline couldn’t be tolerated at any time, least of all when Assembly elections in the country are less than two decades manner they stated, pointing into the MPs’ repeated attacks on the country authorities, such as chief minister Amarinder Singh.
chose their choice to raise worries about the hooch tragedy, ” the ministers stated the two MPs had not, in their Rajya Sabha word, bothered to raise some matter of the attention of the state that they represent. “Why did they not press the conclusion of the ED probe to the medication difficulty during the Akali regime? Why did they not protest at the House from the anti-farm Ordinances of the Union Government? Why did they speak about the CBI’s failure to stunt the sacrilege scenarios?” The ministers requested.
The ministers stated that by bypassing most of government and party forums to protest against the authorities handling of this hooch tragedy and also to approach the Governor for CBI and ED inquiries to the instance, both MPs hadn’t assaulted the very foundation of democratic governance but had sought to undermine the Punjab Police force.
“That isn’t the way democratic institutions and systems are intended to work,” stated the ministers, pointing out a CBI probe was required only if the authorities failed to send, which was certainly not true currently.
Furthermore, the decision on recommending or not recommending a CBI probe rests with the state authorities, rather than with two MPs. They accused them of being’unable to represent the interests of Punjab correctly’ in Parliament.
The ministers stated,”Rather than doing their job because MPs, equally Bajwa and Dullo seem intent on destabilising their own authorities, either from their own greed for power or in the bidding of people who wish to destabilise the Congress in Punjab, the ministers pointed out”.
“In the circumstance, the duo had left themselves unworthy, and of no worth to the celebration, and had to be shunted out with no delay,” they added.
The ministers further added,”What was even more improper was the simple fact that rather than feeling remotely apologetic, those MPs are still on the offensive, going so far as to establish a personal attack on PPCC president Sunil Jakhar.”
