BHUBANESWAR: The Covid positive instance continued to spiral upward in the country with 736 individuals testing positive from the past 24 hours on Sunday, raising the entire tally to 17, 437. Of the new situations, 481 recovered from quarantine while 255 were local scenarios.
Five individuals reacted to the lethal virus, taking the toll to 91 from the state.

The spurt at Covid instances has compelled many district government to inflict work-related lockdown and containment zone in various regions to confirm the spread of this virus. Gajapati district government imposed lockdown at all of the block headquarters, 11 panchayats and 2 metropolitan regional bodies from July 20 midnight until July 31. Bhadrak municipality and Dhamnagar NAC at Bhadrak district declared as containment zones and enforced lockdown until July 31.
Bargrh district headquarter hospital closed for five days following physicians contracted the virus. Dhenkanal district police sealed five nursing homes in town after a pregnant girl admitted for kid rescue tests positive.
How many instances is very likely to touch 30,000 from the country by July conclusion, stated Dr Jayant Panda, specialized spokesperson of their health department.
“We might add 10,000 instances more at the end of the month while the equivalent number of instances will be retrieved. We should not concentrate on the increasing cases as the authorities has been ensuring innovative treatment centers in the nation. Our recovery rate is 67percent and fatality rate is 0.5 percent, which is much superior compared to the national average,” he added
