Bhubaneswar railroad station
BHUBANESWAR: As many as 14 railroad stations of this East Coast Railway (ECoR) are granted with ISO 14001:2015 certification for environmental management system and providing amenities to the passengers at a green and clean environment.
These channels have been Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri under Khurda Road branch, Sambalpur, Balangir, Titilagarh and Kesinga channels under Sambalpur branch and seven channels including Rayagada beneath Waltair division.
Moreover, manufacturing units such as Carriage Repair Workshop in Mancheswar, Electric Loco Shed in Angul and Visakhapatnam and Diesel Loco Shed in Visakhapatnam also have got the ISO 14001:2015 certificate earlier.
The ECoR has engaged a consultancy company for auditing the green amenities at these channels. The bureau had audited mechanical cleaning, grade cleaning, compound and other amenities to supply a clean and hygienic surroundings in the station. “We’re attempting to get ISO certificate for much more channels under ECoR authority,” stated the ECoR official announcement.
All these 14 channels have all passenger amenities such as VIP lounges, waiting rooms, AC and non-AC retiring rooms and dormitories, refreshing locations, hygiene food centers for passengers. Anyway, waste management involving segregation and disposal of garbage also have been included from the ISO audit,” stated that the ECoR sources.
