KSRTC to operate buses in Bengaluru for 2 weeks amid lockdown | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Shivayogi C Kalasad, IAS, managing director on Monday held a meeting with all the deputy commissioners of their transport department by means of a video conference and talked to its smooth plying of buses from the country for two weeks – (July 13 a nd 14) amid the coronavirus lockdown.
These bikes won’t just ply in and about Bengaluru but also to other adjacent areas like Davanagere, Hosadurga, Yadgir, Hassan, Kalburgi, Shivamogga Tirupati, Ananthpur and Pavagada.
As a preventative step to contain the spread of this virus, thermal test centers are created at several pick-up points and senior officials have been posted on all the significant bus stands to determine whether the passengers are abiding by the social bookmarking standards together with other individuals.
On July 11, a comprehensive lockdown was declared in Bengaluru City and Bengaluru Rural regions from 8pm on July 14 on 5am on July 22 in light of the climbing Covid-19 instances from town.
“Basics for example hospitals, supermarkets, milk, vegetables, fruit, medications will be accessible in this period. Additionally, clinical and postgraduate assessments will occur as scheduled,” that the Karnataka CMO had advised.
