MANGALURU: As Bengaluru CCB tightens investigation to the medication racket from the state capital, approximately 90 from this 180 drug peddlers and providers identified in Mangaluru Town in Karnataka were paraded before the City Police Commissioner Vikash Kumar Vikash on Monday. Shockingly, at least six were pupils.
On the sidelines of the parade, the city police commissioner told me in the previous one month, they’ve been running station-wise rowdy parades to learn especially those who’d been engaged in communal episodes and events pertaining to Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS).
Afterward, this rowdy parade is for just those participated in the ingestion, peddling as well as sourcing of medications and psychotropic substances in and about the City. “This is a significant exercise under present circumstances since there’s always a war against medication which has influenced the youth. Additionally, this is a chance to spread consciousness and curb the menace,”he explained.
Conducted under the direction of CCB Agency Shivaprakash R Naik, the parade saw the involvement of people who had been engaged in a more number of instances or rowdy sheeters. A strict warning has been issued to every one and the section will look at reserving continued offenders under the Goonda Act.
