BENGALURU: The high court has directed the state authorities along with also the search committees to separately rethink the candidature of A Rangaswamy for the posts of vice chancellor of Karnataka Rajya Dr Gangubai Hanagal Sangeetha Mattu Pradarshaka Kalegala Vishwavidyalaya, Mysuru and Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi.
The reconsideration needs to be performed without being affected by specific remarks made by Lingaraja Gandhi, Registrar of Karnataka State Open University ( KSOU) from Rangaswamy.
Justice John Michael Cunha has also led the appointing/ disciplinary ability to maintain an enquiry against Lingaraja Gandhi for making false and misleading allegations against Rangaswamy.
Rangaswamy was functioning as Chairman of the Department of Kannada research and studies at KSOU. He also sent his software for the post of Vice -Chancellor of Karnataka Rajya Dr Gangubai Hanagal Sangeetha Mattu Pradarshaka Kalegala Vishwavidyalaya, Mysuru and Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi, through Lingaraja Gandhi,the Registrar of KSOU. It was disclosed that combined with all the said software, Lingaraja Gandhi, who was an aspirant for those articles, sent yet another covering letter into the election committee, saying that a disciplinary enquiry is pending against Rangaswamy.
