BENGALURU: Karnataka chief minister B Yediyurappa on Thursday asked individuals to collaborate following the steps set up for the management of Covid-19 when they do not need another lockdown or sealing at Bengaluru.
Amid talks about re-imposing lockdown from town after the recent spike in most cases, the chief minister said that he will hold talks on Thursday and Friday concerning the strict steps which have to be removed to control the virus.
“Covid pandemic is growing, we’re making all efforts and we’ve sealed some regions. Now afternoon at Krishna (the CM’s home office) I’ve called a meeting with ministers and officials and will go over the strict steps to be taken to restrain Covid,” Yediyurappa said.
Talking to colleagues, ” he said,”Tonight I’ve called a meeting with legislators of all parties out of Bengaluru and most of ministers in town to go over together, seek their view and take strict steps”
Citing an increase in cases, health minister B Sriramulu on Tuesday had said the authorities might need to consider imposing lockdown from town when the situation persists.
After this several ministers from the state cabinet on Wednesday had stated, any conclusion on re-imposing lockdown from town is going to be obtained only after consulting specialists.
Some reports had suggested a determination on lockdown is probably at the cabinet meeting scheduled now.
The ministry said there isn’t any lockdown in the whole city, including just in a couple of areas it’s been enforced and would last.
Concerned over the boost in Covid-19 instances in town, Yediyurappa on Monday had led officials to execute lockdown measures rigorously in certain clusters that have reported higher quantity of coronavirus infections.
The town’s busy K Market and Kalasipalya Market happen to be sealed for 15 times from the civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) included in steps to examine the spread of this deadly virus.
Stating that Bengaluru is a version for the entire nation in Covid-19 direction, Yediyurappa on Thursday said, once you compare with other significant cities,”we’ve not lost control”
