7,665 brand new Covid-19 instances in Karnataka, 139 deaths | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: Karnataka on Tuesday reported seven,665 new instances of Covid-19 and 139 related deaths, taking the entire number of diseases to two,40,948 and death toll to 4, respectively 201, the health department said.
The afternoon also found recoveries overtaking the amount of new positive instances, with 8,387 patients becoming discharged.
Of those new cases reported now, two,242 instances were from Bengaluru metropolitan independently.
At August 18 day, cumulatively 2,40,948 Covid-19 positive cases have been confirmed from the country, including 4,201 deaths and 1,56,949 releases, and the health department said in its bulletin.
Of 79,782 active circumstances, 79,085 patients have been in isolation designated hospitals and steady, while 697 have been in ICU.
The bulletin said 49 from 139 deaths reported Tuesday are out of Bengaluru urban, followed closely by Dharwad (10), Ballari and Dakshina Kannada (9), Bidar (8), Belagavi and Hassan (7), Mysuru (6 ) ), Raichur and Tumkur (4 ) );
Bengaluru Rural, Haveri, Shivamogga, Vijayapura and Yadgir (3), Gadag, Kalaburagi and Mandya (two ), along with Bagalkote, Chamarajanagara, Davangere, Koppal and Uttara Kannada (1).
Many of those dead are with a history of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) or Influenza-like illness (ILI).
One of the areas in which the new cases were reported, Bengaluru urban accounted for two,242, Ballari 673, Udupi 421, Belagavi 395, Mysuru 357, Davangere 332, followed by additional districts.
Bengaluru urban district tops the list of favorable circumstances, using a total of 94,106 ailments, followed by Ballari 15,180 and Mysuru 11,489.
Among releases overly Bengaluru urban tops the list with complete 59,492 releases, followed by Ballari 9,054 and Kalaburagi 7,131.
A total of 21,34,174 samples were analyzed up to now, of that 59,088 were analyzed on Tuesday alone.
One of the samples analyzed today 28,867 were rapid antigen tests.
