6,670 brand new Covid-19 instances, 101 deaths reported in Karnataka | Bengaluru News


BENGALURU: Karnataka on Friday reported 6,670 new instances of Covid-19 and 101 related deaths carrying the entire number of diseases to 1,64,924 and death toll to two,998, the health department said. The afternoon also saw 3,951 patients becoming discharged after healing.
Out of those 6,670 new situations, two,147 instances were from Bengaluru urban.
At August 7 day, 1,64,924 positive cases are confirmed, which comprised two,998 deaths and 84,232 discharged cases, the report stated.
Out 77,686 active circumstances, 77,008 patients have been in isolation at designated hospitals and so are steady whereas 678 are at the intensive care unit (ICU).
Of those 101 deaths, 22 were reported by Bengaluru urban followed closely by Mysuru (15), Hassan and Dharwad (9), Kalaburagi and Dakshina Kannada (7), Ballari and Udupi (5), Koppal and Kolar (3), Belagavi, Raichur, Davangere, Gadag and Chikkamagaluru (two ), along with Shivamogga, Haveri, Bidar, Yadgir, Chikkaballapura and Chamarajanagara (1).
Many of those dead are with a history of severe acute respiratory disease (SARI) or influenza-like illness (ILI).
One of the areas in which the new cases were reported, Bengaluru urban accounted for two,147, Ballari 684, Belagavi 390, Kalaburagi 271, Dharwad 266, Udupi 246, Mysuru 242, Koppala 173, Raichur 171, Dakshina Kannada 166 and Shivamogga 151 followed by other people. Bengaluru urban district tops the list of favorable cases using a total of 69,572 disorders followed by Ballari 9,384 and Kalaburagi 6, respectively 886. From the list of these discharged, Bengaluru urban shirts with 35,063 followed by Ballari 4,926 and Kalaburagi 4,256. A total of 16,24,628 samples are analyzed up to now, from that 43,553 were analyzed on Friday alone. One of the samples analyzed throughout the day, 23,664 were rapid antigen tests.
