Covid-19 snuffs out three more lives in town, toll shoots around 72 | Allahabad News


Prayagraj: With 3 additional casualties, Prayagraj district book coronavirus (Covid-19) toll reached 72 on Saturday. The district recorded 176 new cases on Saturday, taking the tally to 3,801.
According to officials, 107 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals on Saturday. Until now, 1,768 Covid-19 patients have regained from the district. “74 patients also finished their home isolation carrying the use of Covid-19 positive patients that completed their quarantine period in their home to 297. Presently, Prayagraj has 1,650 active circumstances,” said district nodal officer Dr Rishi Sahai.
The Covid-19 sufferers that expired on Saturday contained a 48-year old guy from Sarai Inayat area who had been admitted to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital on August 4. On Friday night, his condition deteriorated and he had been set on a ventilator. “He died early Saturday afternoon,” explained SRN Hospital nodal officer (corona ward) Sujit Verma.
A 74-year old guy from Baihrana who had been admitted to SRN Hospital on August 3 after testing positive for Covid-19 also died on Saturday morning. “The guy had hypertension and a kidney complication, also couldn’t be spared,” Verma added.
Verma reported that the third individual who died at the hospital on Saturday was a 52-year old guy from Naini. The victim was admitted to SRN Hospital lately after testing positive for Covid-19.
